Melaye faults allocation of Abuja land to Jonathan, others.



Dino Melaye, Chairman Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Friday, February 5 faulted allocation of lands in Abuja to former president Goodluck Jonathan.

Melaye made the allegation during a budget defence meeting between his committee and Muhammed Bello, the FCT minister who claimed that the area was supposed to provide tourist attraction for foreign visitors.

He also mentioned other names who were beneficiary to these plots in those areas. They include: Muhammed Bello Adoke, the former Justice Minister and Attorney-General of the Federation and Isa Yuguda,‎ former Bauchi State governor.

Others include Uche Secondus, the acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Andrew Okoye Az, the late National Security Adviser.

He added that the committee had been directed to halt construction on that area.
