THE RECENT NYSC 2016 BATCH B CAMPING GIST FROM STREAM I CORPS MEMBERS HAS CAUGHT THE ATTENTION OF PROSPECTIVE CORP MEMBERS FOLLOWING THE SERIES OF DEATHS IN CAMPS
HAPPENINGS SO FAR HAVE NOT BEEN ENCOURAGING AND FAVORABLE TO NYSC STREAM I CORP MEMBERS HOWEVER.
WHILE MOST OF THE NYSC MEMBERS ARE COMPLAINING OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS AND MALTREATMENT FROM THE SOLDIERS, OTHERS SEEM TO BE ENJOING THEMSELVES.
Since the NYSC Batch B 2016 stream I orientation camp was
opened on 24th November, 2016, a lot has been happening...
While some corps members are having a good time and real fun, others are calling for the scrapping of the scheme owing to the hardship they have been made to face from the few days in the camp. That is not funny!

The most shocking news from the camps which came like a
rumor on Thursday, 2nd December, 2016, was the death of a corp member ( FIRST CLASS graduate!!!) from Kano camp. Two other corps members were also reported dead from Bayelsa and Zamfara camps
respectively, as posted on a Facebook group for NYSC corps members and
perspective corps members.
Before that report, there has been lots of complaints from corps members concerning the happenings in their camps which ranges from:
insufficient or not well prepared food, inadequate water supply, poor accommodation,
and poor electricity supply, among others.
Meanwhile, camps such as the one in Ogun, Katsina and Abuja
have been receiving accolades from the very first day. The corps members there
seem to complain of nothing so far, apart from the usual daily stress from
parades and other drills.
From Kano there is a report reaching us that two corp members, a male and a female were decamp because they were caught "DOING IT" on the 2nd December, 2016. "Na wa oo how the thing hold them wey they no fit wait for camp to finish???". According to NYSC rules the penalty for this is an extension of service year.. so bad for them.
At the time of writing this report, a corp member presently camping in Abuja just informed Onushaibu's Blog that the minister of Youth and Sports visited their camp today 5th December, 2016. I don't think many camps will have this privilege. It is obvious that Abuja corp members are receiving a preferential treatment.
Picture speaks! Below are screenshots of
post and personal chats of corps member’s reactions.
lets begin with Mr Stevo, from FCT Abuja camp - no complaints, just Ok and FINE.

Also on Facebook, in a post, a corp member was captured bragging about his Ogun camp. He likened his camp to a 5 star camp. Wow!
This brother is presently in a camp in Oyo and this is what he said about the camp so far.
It was shocking to get this news from Akwa - Ibom State, one of the most desired states by Prospective Corp Members, on the poor nature of the camp.

Stream I experience might just be a good clue to what lies ahead of you, so prepare stream II!!!
God bless the gallant NYSC corps members.
ENJOY your remaining days in camp.
