Kogi governor gives ex-commissioners ultimatum




Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has directed all officials who served in the administration of Capt. Idris Wada (immediate past governor of the state) to return government vehicles in their possession.

The governor instructed the affected officials, including former commissioners , special advisers and other political appointees to return the vehicles on or before Friday February 5.

Laraba Okedi, the transport officer of Kogi added that the order also affected other categories of political appointees, including members of boards and agencies.

According to her, other political appointees and officials are also directed to return government property in their possession.

A source earlier hinted that many former commissioners, special advisers and board chairmen were yet to return their official vehicles.

On January 30, the new governor also dissolved boards of all parastatal agencies and other government establishments in the state.
